This policy explains what personal information Techdoctorandaccessories, LLC, trading as Tech Doctor (“we”), collects through this website and through our bid portal at bids.techdr.net, what we do with it, and the choices you have. It does not cover the payment-processing services we provide to merchants, which are governed by the agreements for those services.
What we collect, and why
- When you use our contact form. The Contact Us form asks for your name, company, email address, phone number, a subject and a message. We use them only to reply to you. The form sends them to us by email; this website does not keep a copy in its database.
- When you apply for service. Our service application is a Google Form, so the answers you give are collected by Google on our behalf and shared with us. Google’s own privacy policy applies to how Google handles that information.
- When you use our bid portal. bids.techdr.net is open only to people we invite. For each account we keep a name, an email address and a password, which is stored only as a one-way hash that cannot be turned back into the password. We record significant actions taken in the portal, so there is a history of who did what. When a sign-in fails, the email address and network address involved are kept only in a scrambled form, to slow down anyone trying to guess passwords.
- When you visit. Like most websites, our web server records basic technical details of each request — the network (IP) address it came from, the time, the page asked for, and the browser — so we can keep the site running and secure.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies for ordinary visitors. The bid portal sets only the cookies that signing in needs: one that protects forms against forged submissions, and one that keeps you signed in. We use no advertising or analytics cookies anywhere.
What we do not do
- We do not use analytics or advertising trackers, and this website loads no scripts, fonts or images from other companies.
- We do not sell or rent your personal information.
Who else sees it
We run the server that hosts this website and the bid portal ourselves. Information you give through the service application is held by Google, as described above. Beyond that, we share personal information only when the law requires it.
How we protect it
Every page is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. In the bid portal, passwords are stored only as one-way hashes, repeated failed sign-ins lock the account from that address for a time, and uploaded documents are encrypted when stored.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purpose we collected it, or as long as the law requires us to.
Your choices
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it or delete it. Contact us through our Contact Us page or by post, and we will respond.
Children
This website is for businesses and public agencies. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will publish the new version on this page and update the date at the top.
